Elder, do you know why Elder Joseph's fragrance smells orally?

By Elder Ephraim of Arizona

When we had the Elder exhumed, three years after his repose, his skin was so perfect. Like amber. All of his relics.

In the exhumation, all the brothers were saying : "I'll take this one, I'll take the other one." And I said to myself::
"I won't take at all, but whatever they give me."
And while everyone was taking a piece of his Holy Relic for blessing, I sat there. Elder Arsenios then turned around and said:
"Give it to Elder Ephraim."
" Be blessed. Thank you very much" I said and got my Saint Elders skull.

In New Skete I put it in the chapel next to my cell. In the Holy Monastery of Philotheus I had it in my cell and now in Arizona it is located in the chapel of St. Panteleimon and it is fragrant, from the New Skete to the present day. And it's a very paradoxical mystery, that as the years go by,
it smells even more. And starting either my vigilance or the Divine Liturgy or any ministry, I go venerate it, ask for a blessing and obey it even today.
The relics of Elder Joseph, wherever they are, are everywhere fragrant and miraculous to those who worship them according to their faith.
We always hold a feast at the feast of the Dormition of the Virgin Mary and in the afternoon of the same day we commemorate our Elder, who we believe in as a modern Saint. Once in the Monastery of Philotheus, when we took his relic out of its adorned pouch to make the memorial, it smelled great and even in the mouth. We wondered why in the mouth more and then a nun said to me:
" Elder, do you know why it smells of the mouth? Because he was saying good-bye to it."

Indeed, she was right, this is the truth! Because you want the blessing that came from his mouth, you want God's saving words, which this mouth always used for the benefit of all, you want the complete avoidance of arguments and condemnation, you want his heartfelt chanting, which he received from God, all coming out of his mouth. So blessed and thrice blessed. That's why his mouth smells so much more than any other part.
