Blessed feast of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker (Dec. 19/Dec. 6)

St. Nicholas is often called the merciful. A Russian proverb says: "Bring your tribulations to St. Nicholas the Merciful and he will take them to the All Merciful Savior."
