On Christmas Eve, the husband and wife summed up the past year. At dinner in a restaurant, the husband began to complain that he had taken the wrong path in which, in his opinion, he should have gone. His wife stared at the Christmas tree decorating that was in the restaurant. The husband thought that she was no longer interested in the conversation, and changed the subject: "Well, aren't there some wonderful light bulbs on the Christmas tree!" he said. “Yes, it is,” the wife answered. “But if you look more closely, you will see that among the dozen light bulbs there is one that is burnt out. It seems to me that, instead of looking at the past year from the point of view of a dozen blessings that illuminated it, you are fixated on a single light bulb that does not illuminate anything."
