- Geronda, tell us a few words about the help and protection of the Mother of God.

- I'll tell you one case that happened in Russia. In one of the regions of Russia, two monasteries stood side by side, and they were separated by a railway. Once the monks from one monastery went to the next feast day and got drunk there.When they came back drunk, they lay down on the tracks and fell asleep. Then the Mother of God appeared to the head of the station and told him: "My piglets will be slaughtered by the train." - "What nonsense, what other pigs will the train slaughter?" He says. The Mother of God appeared to him a second time and repeated again: "My piglets will be slaughtered by the train." - "What kind of pigs?" asked the head of the station. He thought that perhaps some herd of pigs had come out onto the canvas.He went to check and saw the sleeping monks. He managed to wake them up after all. Otherwise, the passing train would have crushed everyone. You see, the Mother of God, like a kind Mother, even cares about Her disobedient children.

Hold onto the clothes of our Great Lady of the Theotokos as tightly as possible, so that She will help you. May the Mother of God, this gentle and caring Mother of the whole world, protect you and the whole world. Amen.
