Orthodox Parables and Stories: "Miracle of Archangel Michael"

The wife of the St. Petersburg Archpriest Olga Ivanovna Belyaeva reported the following event in the life of her father, now the late Archpriest John Belyaev. 

Father John, in his soul, was very kind and merciful to the poor, humble and meek in heart, and he really loved his neighbor as himself. From a young age he suffered from an incurable disease - asthma and angina pectoris. Attacks of a severe illness were so frequent that death threatened him every minute. On one of the great holidays, he went to the temple of God to serve the Divine Liturgy. A huge stone lay on the way from the house to the temple. Approaching it, the father felt unwell and fell unconscious on it. At the same moment, he saw in front of him the Archangel Michael with a fiery sword and spear, who said to him: “For your love for God and neighbors, I prayed to the Almighty for the granting of your perfect health. "At the same time he touched his shoulder with his spear and everything inside him was filled with a sense of life; in perfect health, he got up and went to serve the Divine Liturgy. From that day until a ripe old age, he did not have heart attacks and died from a completely different disease.
