The saints, unlike us, were not arrogant, they were not proud that they were saints, that they had risen above us, poor sinners, swarming below like worms. The saints love us, they are very simple and accessible, because Christ made them so. I communicate with people who live a holy life, and all the time I wonder how they combine the height of spiritual life and ease of communication? This is the hallmark of the saints. They just go to meet you, like Christ.
