Elder Ambrosios

She was a poor woman in a small village in Etoloakarnania who had three children. She managed to raise them with incredible deprivations and difficulties, but also with a unique dignity! This was Mrs. Vasiliki.

She died on the eve of the Virgin of 1998.

The next day, August 15, the cheap coffin, which was in the back of the priest's small agricultural truck, was headed to the cemetery.

In the course of the funeral, some villagers followed and discussed the sufferings that Vasiliki endured, when suddenly, the whole place was fragrant! If there were thousands of flowers and blossoms, they would not smell so good!

They were all surprised and amazed. But they had no explanation for this. Among those who accompanied her was a spiritual child of Father Ambrosios Lazaris of the Holy Monastery of Dadiou. After a few days, from this wonderful but for many inexplicable event, the spiritual child went to Elder Ambrosios telling him about the event: "A woman died and the place smelled" !!

Elder Ambrosios, at first, remained silent. Then he went into his room, stayed there for a while praying, and then returned, saying the following:

"She is sanctified! And do you know why? Because, never in her life has she complained! God wants such people, to fill Paradise and make the Second Coming "!!
