Orthodox Parables and Stories: "Oil from the lampada of St. Panteleimon

 

“... Mother's eye disease now, thanks to God, has completely passed from the anointing with the sacred oil received from Mt. Athos from the icon lamp of Holy Greatmartyr Panteleimon. Also, I will not keep silent about the fact that from the same St. with oil, through the anointing, the peasant boy got rid of a severe eye disease. In the fall, my son Panteleimon (2 years old) fell ill from a cold and was in a fever. At night the patient was anointed with St. oil, in the morning my son says: "Mom, now some uncle came to me and from a spoon he anointed my head."

My wife and I realized that our son had seen Holy Greatmartyr and healer Panteleimon, who healed him.
