Miracle of St. Spyridon

Once I was in Corfu, in the Church of St. Spyridon, with other pilgrims. I wanted to say a few words about the saint, as he was proper and natural.

But my mind stopped when I started talking and I did not remember a word about the saint, but my tongue was moving, it was saying about the Lord!

I was trying to change the subject, because I felt ashamed in front of the saint.  However, what I said about the Lord that day, I have never said before!

In the meantime I heard some noise around me, but my devotion to the words that came and went from my mouth was such that they would not let me see what was happening around me.

At the end of the Divine Liturgy I was told that a deaf young man 21 years old , at some point, during my speech said:

- What beautiful words these are, that Mr. Panagopoulos says about our Christ, mother! Thank God!

So then I understood why the noise around me and why I could not say a word about the saint .

The Lord had another purpose and from that time, the hearing and voice of the young man was fully restored.
