Brother Munoz

It is known that seven years before his martyrdom, Brother Joseph Munoz, custodian of the miraculous myrrh-streaming Montreal Icon of the Most Holy Theotokos, was on Mount Athos, accepted monasticism with the name Ambrose (in honor of St. Ambrose of Optina). He was tonsured by Elder Clement, who in 1982 gave him the Iberian Icon of the Mother of God and then became his spiritual father. During his lifetime, only a few knew about it.
