Salutations during Great Lent

Sections of the Salutations (Akathist) to the Theotokos in stanzas are chanted on the first 5 Fridays of Great Lent, with the final Friday, culminating all of the stanzas. At Small Compline, immediately after “It is truly meet…” we chant the Canon followed by the Stasis which corresponds to the week.
