Confessing the hidden sin
A woman hid for a long time and, out of shame, did not confess her grave sin, but only often with bitter tears she prayed before the icon of the Mother of God and asked for Her protection. Finally, she died without confessing that sin. When they buried her in the church, in front of all her relatives, suddenly the dead rose, sat on a bed and said: “Your great power, Lady Immaculate!”. And, having called the confessor, she confessed the hidden sin before him. Then she said aloud to everyone: “Poor me, I died like that; but every day, with deep contrition, I prayed to the Most Holy Theotokos that I would not be punished for my sin. When my unfortunate soul was separated from the body, dark evil spirits reproached me for a secret sin and rejoiced, considering me their prey. But the Queen of Angels appeared and with Her light dispersed the spirits of malice. She told them, "The Lord has not given you power over this soul." Then she brought me to the Lord and asked Him to show His mercy over me; and the Lord said: “Let this soul be united with its body and as it should confess its sin.”
You see, she repented every day and prayed with tears to the Queen of Heaven, for which she received God's mercy. Have you done this and are you doing it? Alas! It seems not! But do not despair and do not hesitate, but immediately proceed to repentance and confession, reveal your state of mind to your spiritual father, and ask for his prayers, and then do what he tells you.
