Orthodox Parables and Stories: One of the countless miracles of St. Sergius

Many, of those who turned to St. Sergius with prayer, definitely have their own personal miracles associated with the saint.

Students and their parents, soldiers and monks, sick and healthy, pray to him - the Reverend does not refuse to help anyone.

One godly church worker told the following story:

“I will share a case of the wonderful help of the Monk Sergius. The story of our family with Nastya began precisely with this. After we walked on a pilgrimage from Moscow to the Trinity-Sergius Lavra, I asked the Reverend to show me if Nastya was God's intended spouse for me, asked for some intelligible sign that could not be interpreted in another direction.

Three or four days have passed. We were preparing for the Velikoretsky religious procession. Nastya arrived at the Vysoko-Petrovsky Monastery, where the main functioning church is dedicated to St. Sergius of Radonezh. Whe we, after all the preparations, left the monastery, we approached under the blessing of Vladyka Mercurius , then still Bishop of Zaraisk (now Metropolitan of Rostov and Novocherkassk).

The following conversation took place between us:

"Vladyka, bless."

Having blessed me, he suddenly said, looking at Nastya:

"Yuri, who is this with you? Is this your matushka?

"Yes ... no ... Vladyka, I don't know if its the will of God."

“You don’t know that, but I know everything: this is your matushka!”

Thus, through the prayers of the saint a real Christian family was formed. And this case, of course, is only one of the many miracles of Saint Sergius of Radonezh
