How many times have I stood before Her image, Her lamp, and had nothing at all to say to Her. Emptiness, nothing, all, eyes, all tears...

How many times have I stood before Her image, Her lamp, and had nothing at all to say to Her. Emptiness, nothing, all, eyes, all tears.

A word did not come out of my parched lips. Word from my troubled mind.

It is then that pain locks you in, that freezes you in the heaviest winter of your heart.

Silence, blank gaze, paralyzed heart.

When you are in pain you don't speak, you are silent and your screams are so loud that they are not heard.

I have seen lips pulsate without speaking. Voices hoarse without saying a word. The whole man becomes eyes, the whole body a scream, a voice without sound.

Silence, body in prayer, in standby...

How many times have I prayed in this absolute silence. On those cold floors of solitude on nights that seemed unforgettable.

The only company is the icon of the Virgin Mary, a hug, a caress of Mother, a warm hug and a sound in the ear "shhhhhhh.......

This is the Virgin Mary, who hears the prayers of the silent, who even though you do not speak knows what you are saying, who without explaining knows what you feel and understands you.

To this mother of silence I prayed and today, we all prayed, even those who did not go to church.

St. Joseph the Hesychast

If a thought of condemnation comes to you , don't sit there and speculate whether it is or isn't. The subject is closed. If something bad is said to you about your neighbor, then it is condemnation, then it is danger.

The elder said, "Carnal strife is kindled not so much by food, by drink, by wine, and by sleep, as by condemnation." The disciples asked, "Why, elder?" The elder answered, "So that we may know that we are of the same nature. To know that the same devil is at war with us, and that we are all worthy of equal condemnation."

"If one does not judge his neighbor, this is the testimony, and the characteristic, and the proof, and the assurance of a saved person. He who does not judge will not be judged."
"Have compassion on him who has not. Do not condemn him for what he does not have, that he is sinful, wicked, deceitful, talkative, a thief, a fornicator, and a liar. If you gain this knowledge, you can never judge anyone, even if you see him mortally sinning. For immediately you say, "He has not Your grace, my Christ, therefore he sins. If You go away from me also, I will do worse. He is poor. So how do you demand that he be rich? Give him riches so he can have them. He is blind. Give him eyes to see."

St. Joseph the Hesychast

For everyone who prays and does not repent, either the prayer will stop, or he, praying, will fall into delusion.

“Man becomes a mockery for demons. And then they mock him with the help of pictures and visions, phenomena and revelations, symbols and numbers, prejudices and fortune-telling and a whole bunch of superstitions. God save you from such perversion! "

Have love for everyone and see that you do not grieve or harm anyone, for during prayer the grief of your brother will be an obstacle. - St. Joseph the Hesychast

St. Joseph the Hesychast

The vain world! Deceitful light! There is nothing good in you! A complete lie! Perfect cheating! You are deceiving us, laughing at us, scoffing at us. You show us years, and pleasures, and long health, but suddenly death overtakes us. And all this bursts like bubbles, bursts like a cobweb.

Such, my beloved child, is such worldly joy!
St. Joseph the Hesychast.

St. Joseph the Hesychast

You think that your voice did not immediately reach the saints, our Panagia, and Christ. On the contrary, even before you cried out, the saints rushed to your aid, knowing that you would call upon them and seek their God-given protection. However, since you do not see beyond what is apparent and do not know how God governs the world, you want your request to be fulfilled like lightning. But this is not how things are. The Lord wants patience. He wants you to show your faith. - St. Joseph the Hesychast
