After the priest has given Holy Communion to the people, he elevates the chalice, and says "Always, now, and forever, and to the ages of ages. Amen." In so doing, he reminds us of the Ascension of Christ, for this is the moment when Christ promises us that he "will be with us always" (Mt 28:20). Having received the Holy Spirit, having beheld the secrets of the kingdom, we can leave with the eyes of our soul brimming with the beauty that we have seen.
