Monasticism is a free hospital, a hospital of God, where a person comes to feel better. God calls on a person with His holy call and with His love leads him into this free medical clinic.
A person seeks healing and cries: "Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on me." "Yes, I will have mercy on you," answers the Lord. So, the physician of our souls and bodies proceeds to healing.
He sends us various sorrows, allows temptations. And all this is a bitter medicine curing the human soul.
