Geronda, how can one live in society today correctly, in a Christian way, without being seduced by people living far from God?
- And what is tempted by those who do not live near God? If in a family of six or eight brothers and sisters one or two would be carried away by Satan could such a sinful life of the others be seduced?
- No, they would be rooting for them, because they are brothers.
- Well, see, evil is within us. We do not have love, therefore, we do not feel all people as brothers and are tempted by their sinful lives. we are all one big family and brothers among ourselves, because all people are children of God. If we really realize that we are brothers with all people, then we will be hurt for those who live in sin. and then their sinful life will not seduce us, but we will pray for them.
So, if we are seduced, then evil is not outside, but inside us. Let's say to ourselves when someone seduces us: "How many are you seducing? And in the name of God you can't put up with your brother? But how about God with all that you do? Think of God, the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Angels who see all people on earth. They are, as it were, on the balcony and looking down at the square, they see all the people gathered there. They see that some are stealing, others are cursing, others are sinning carnally and so on. How do they tolerate them? They suffer all the evil and sin of the world, and we do not tolerate our brother. This is awful!
