Orthodox Parables and Stories: In 1988, an earthquake in Armenia claimed the lives of more than 30,000 people.

In 1988, an earthquake in Armenia claimed the lives of more than 30,000 people.

After the earthquake ceased, the father ran to the elementary school building where his son was. When he arrived there he saw that the building had been turned into a pile of debris. The despair kept him going. Tears rolled down his cheeks.

But then he remembered the words he often repeated to his son: "Whatever happens, remember, I'll always be there." This gave him strength and inspiration. The location of his child's classroom was determined and he began to dismantle the debris.

Other parents tried to calm his enthusiasm, saying it was too late. However, the man dismantled the debris for 36 hours.
And after a large piece of concrete was moved to the side, he heard his son scream: "Dad, it's me!" The boy, with a small group of classmates, was alive. His son, this time, convinced the scared children that his father would come and save them.

" So if you, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him! ». Matthew 7:11
