Services are never prerformed without candles.

“Our services are never performed without candles” said the teacher of the Church Tertullian, “but we do not use them just to dispel the darkness of the night,” the Liturgy is celebrated in our daylight; but in order to portray Christ through this, it is uncreated light, without which we would wander in the darkness even in the middle of the afternoon. ” Our Lord Jesus Christ said: “I am the light of the world” (John 8.12).
