One of the guests of the elder Ephraim of Katounakia asked him to explain where the fragrance of the holy relics comes from. The elder fell silent, bowed his head to his heart and prayed. Suddenly, everything was filled with fragrance. The guests looked at each other and cried. After a few minutes, the elder told them: “Since I could not explain this to you in words, I prayed that God would show you himself.”
