Elder Ephraim of St. Andrew's Skete
After the Divine Liturgy, a priest finished the remaining Divine Communion, which was quite a quantity. After a while he died. Before burying him, doctors made a cut in his stomach to see what happened and did not find the Holy Communion in his stomach, which was empty. Where did Christ go? The Fathers of the Church say that when taking Divine Communion, Christ goes directly to the soul, and from the soul the Grace of the Holy Spirit is transmitted to all the cells of the body. This is how the soul first communicates and then the body. - Elder Ephraim of St. Andrew's Skete
