And only one element was capable of manifesting the holiness of St. Nectarios; which is: the world slandered him, wronged him, persecuted him, marginalized him. And when the world does not love or honor you, God takes over. When the embrace of men shrinks, it widens to God. And when the accusers smile and tarnish your name, God glorifies you. Sooner or later God will respond to evil. As the world chases the children of God, He will fill the heavens with saints. Those we do not like God loves them and those we throw away God gathers them. The evil of the world wanted to wipe out St. Nectarios from history but God wrote it down to eternity.
