Gradually get your heart to say to each of the brothers:
"Truly, he is more advanced than I in the way of God."
Again: "He's better than me."
And so you will slowly reach the point of putting yourself below everyone else, and the Spirit of God will dwell within you. Whereas, if you despise a man, the grace of God departs from you, and you surrender yourself to carnal infections, and your heart is hardened, and there will be no compunction in you.
