Memorials

During the memorials and the Saturdays that are dedicated to the souls, boiled wheat, a symbol of burial and resurrections is offered. The bodies of the reposed will one day be resurrected from the tombs. Like wheat is sown on earth, buried and rots, afterwards, however, it is resurrected loaded with fruit, likewise the bodies of those who are asleep will resurrects. The memorials, charity work, prostrations, and praying with the prayer rope, are by all means beneficial for those Orthodox Christians who died in faith.
