Orthodox Parables and Stories: The Parable of the Corona Virus

A monk, wandering around the world, knew a wound heading towards his city.
"Where are you going, plague?" he asked him.
"I'm going to your hometown," he replied. "I have to take thousands of lives."
After a while, the monk again met with the plague on his way.
"Why did you lie to me then?" he asked him with a reprimand. "You said you had to take thousands of lives, but you got five thousand."
"I told you the truth then," said the plague. "I really took thousands of lives. The others died in fear."
