Orthodox Parables and Stories: The Widow

Outside a village in Trikala, there lived a widowed woman who knew that none of the women in the surrounding villages agreed to make offerings for the Church.
However, despite her poverty, she made 10-12 offers every Sunday and distributed them to the temples of the area!
One day, the Virgin Mary appears to her in her sleep and puts a gold ring in her hand and says to her:
"This hand, which does this work, deserves this award!"
When the widow woke up, she saw in her hand the gold ring! Excited and shocked, she thanked Our Lady.
Blessed are those who make offerings for the Church!
