The Greeks, in times of persecution and genocide in Turkey, demolished churches to load stones on carts, took the relics and images with them for fear of not having materials to build them there, they left in their pain. their dowry and their households to take with them what is most precious to them, their Christ.
Not the ancient Greeks, not the early Christians, but our forefathers, and seeing our situation today I remembered reading in the life of St. Arsenios of Cappadocia who told them:
"Leave the churches and take your households, there are churches in Greece, don't be afraid, there are churches, but you will not find such faith."
