Appeal to the saints

Appeal to the saints is a form of appeal to God. Turning to the saints, we ask them for prayers before God. The veneration of saints has its source in love for the source of holiness - God; if I love God, then I am in fellowship with people close to Him. As soon as we ask for prayers from our neighbors, it is natural to ask them from the saints.
