St. Paisios the Athonite

With humility and silence we give way to anger. Why do we say that the snake is wise? Although it has a powerful weapon, the poison can hurt us. If it hears a little noise, it leaves immediately.
It doesn't fight against it. It doesn't give way to anger. So should you. If someone tells you something and it bothers you, don't answer. If you keep quiet, you disarm the other person.

Once in Kalyvi, Dikas, the big cat, went to hit a frog. It didn't move at all, so Dikas left it alone and went away. The frog with it's silence and humility defeated the cat. If it shook a little, Dikas would have shaken it up and hit it like a tambourine
