Are there any true Christians today?

There are many. If they did not exist, the bright sun would go out. Otherwise, why would He light such a precious candle in a beehive?

I would need a lot of paper to write the wonderful examples of true Christians I met in my life. And you will need a lot of time to read them which will sweeten your soul.

For now, compare yourself in this one example.

We went to Matsva last summer. At a small station we waited for the train. I noticed an old village girl next to the rails.

Withered old face, however, illuminated by that strange mysterious light that is often seen on the faces of spiritual people. I asked her:

"Who are you waiting for sister?"

"Whoever the Lord sends me," she said.

From the discussion that followed we learned that she came to the station every day to see if there would be a poor traveler who needed a meal and a bed.

And when such a person appeared, she accepts him with joy as if sent by the Lord. And she took him to her house which is a kilometer away.

We also learned from the discussion that she read the bible, went to church, fasted, and kept all of God's law.

Her neighbors later told us that this woman was a real saint. In the end I tried to glorify her evangelical hospitality. But before I finished she sighed and said:

"But aren't we His guests every day for the rest of our lives?" And tears glistened in her eyes.

O merciful and sweet folk soul! My young friend, if you are called a teacher of the people, you can often be ashamed, but if you are called a student of the people, you will never be ashamed.
