When the Elder, Fr. Eumenios Saridakis (1931 - 1999) and a group of his spiritual children visited the London Zoo, the Elder found himself in front of an Indian tiger, very furious. It was jumping up and down, behind the barbed wire, roaring and everyone was standing at a great distance.
Father Eumenius approached it and began to say to it:
"Tiger, tiger, my tiger, calm down my tiger" and made the sign of the cross over it.
Then the tiger put both legs forward and bowed its head as if repenting three times. And it calmed down.
The people watching from afar shouted:
"Father, Father, that is excellent!"
