Miraculous intervention by Saints Timotheos and Mavras

 

While living in Corfu, Ioannis Kapodistrias had a serious accident when he fell from his horse, which he left and ran uncontrollably, dragging Ioannis, unable to react, in the area of the Holy Monastery of Platytera.
He was saved by the timely intervention of the priest of the monastery who treated him. The rescue of Ioannis Kapodistrias from Saints Timotheos and Mavras was considered miraculous, as shown in the picture.
After the incident and throughout his life, he maintained a very close relationship with the monastery.
