In the village of Pournia Konitsis , located in the verdant slopes of Smolikas , on the front wall of the main church of the village (the church of Holy Archangels, patrons of the village) a tree found the strength and sprouted right in front of the image of the Archangel!
In our tradition, these trees that unexpectedly grow on the walls and roofs of churches are called " trees of faith " and our people consider them sacred.
