Love with violence is rape. Compulsory protection is slavery. Forced release is subjugation. War is never an answer, only an incurable wound and an unanswered question. War is hell on earth, because it destroys the greatest value in the world - human life - and promotes the greatest illusion - power.
One of the devil's deceptions is to cunningly take advantage of man's a priori desire for justice, killing it for revenge.
Let me explain myself. You're watching a movie. There is a serial killer there. Kill the others. You want to see him dead, for the police to kill him. That, in your mind, makes you a murderer. God does not want the sinner to die, but to come back and live.
The moment you want, expect and rejoice in someone's death, the devil has entered your heart. This is not true of the soldier who defends his country and family from the horror of death.
In Confession, I ask, especially children: "Do you watch murder movies, play shooting games? Do they make you sick, trivialize your death, make you want to kill violently?"
So, let us love all people, especially the unlovable, if we want to be like God, the Lover of people.
If a priest speaks to you, and peace, tears of repentance, humility and gratitude to God pour into your heart, then he is the priest of Christ. If it brings anger, resentment, call to war and pride, it is of the devil.
Let us pray to Christ the Savior to send His Virgin Mary to crush the hatred, enmity and pride of the powerful and to give them a Motherly heart.
