FROM THE MIRACLES OF SAINT ARSENIUS IN PARO

An 8-year-old boy, Georgios Vazaios, from Marmaron, Paros, went with his mother to the  Monastery of Christ to visit his aunt, nun Theophanos.

Because according to the rules of the Monastery, it is not allowed to sleep inside the Monastery for a child over the age of 5, he slept outside the Monastery in a guest house for men.

One night the child woke up, went out of his room and saw on the steps of the guest house an old white-bearded man of medium height, slightly stooped and scared.

The old man says to him:

"Don't be afraid, my child. I sit and watch over you. I live here and I am the guardian of the nuns too!

The child was relieved and returned and fell asleep peacefully.

In the morning this was told to his mother and uncle, and they understood that the old man was Father Arsenios, whom I and others have seen from time to time around the Monastery, walking around as its guardian!
