From the book: "People of God - St. Gabriel (Urgebadze)"

One day Elder Gabriel went to Tbilisi for shopping. He had only one hundred rubles. At the stop, two beekeepers complained that they could not get a hundred rubles to cure the bees. Father Gabriel, without hesitation for a moment, gave them his money and came back. The next day, two famous actors came to him and donated a thousand rubles. The elder said: "For what is given for a good deed, God gives a hundred times more."

Nun Paraskeva (Rostiashvili) said: “Once I was standing at the cell of the elder in the courtyard of the monastery. Pilgrims approached me and asked for water. I was too lazy to go for water, and I sent them to the refectory. : "How come you didn't do a good deed? Go quickly, give people water so that no one gets ahead of you. And remember that even one glass of water given to your neighbor will not be lost before God."
