Orthodox Parables and Stories: "A TV"

An elementary school teacher once asked children to write an essay about what they would like God to do for them. In the evening, when she checked the work, she came across one composition, which she was very upset. At that moment her husband came in and saw her crying.
"What happened?"  he asked.
“Read,” she answered, holding out the composition of one boy.
"Lord, today I ask you about something special: turn me into a TV. I want to take its place. I want to live like the TV in our house. I want to have a special place and gather a family around me. So that they listen to me without interrupting or not asking questions when I speak. I want to be the center of attention. I want to be dealt with, how they do the TV when it stops working. I want to be in the company of my father when he gets home, even tired. So that my mom, instead of ignoring me, comes to me when she's alone and sad. I want my parents to sometimes leave everything aside and spend some time with me. God, I do not ask much ... I just want to live like every TV lives. "
"A nightmare! Poor boy!" exclaimed the teacher’s husband. "What kind of parents are these ?!"
She answered with tears in her eyes: "This is the work of our son ..."
