Orthodox Parables and Stories: "Miracle at Diveyevo"

My husband and I went to Diveevo a month after we were married in 2005. We had been married since 1998, but never had children. We both also started attending church fairly recently in 2002, and of course, having read about Father Serapfim, we both were very eager to go to Diveevo. Somehow everything came together in a wonderful way, and the dream came true.

In the fall we found out that we were going to have a son. And I was also very sick with vegetative vascular dystonia. I was going with the hope that Batiushka would heal. We were there about two weeks and visited probably all the holy sources around. My husband bathed in all of them, but I couldn't. Just get into the water my muscles would crap because of the cold, I felt that I would choke.

On the eve of departure we went to St. Seraphim's spring. There is a chapel, it is good there, all equipped. Here is the same story: everyone already had a dip, but I still did not.  I prayed to God and St. Seraphim, so hot you. I went straight into the chapel in my bathing shirt, got down on my knees and tearfully begged the priest to help me.

And I took a dip! At the moment when I took my dip, I felt as if a current went through me  from my feet to my head. I had an amazing feeling! In general, I came out of the spring as if I had been born again into the world, and I completely forgot about my dystonia. I believe that through the prayers of St. Seraphim the Lord healed me. Praise God! Blessed be God in his saints! Father Seraphim, pray to God for us sinners.
