He who loves the Lord always remembers Him, and the memory of God gives birth to prayer. If you do not remember the Lord, then you will not pray, and without prayer the soul will not abide in the love of God, for through prayer comes the grace of the Holy Spirit. Prayer keeps a person from sin, for the praying mind is occupied with God and in humility of spirit stands before the face of the Lord, whom the soul of the praying one knows.
