A monk with the passion of anger

A certain monk who was in a monastery in Koinobio, was often angry. The passion of anger did not leave him and broke out on his brothers. So he decided and said to himself:
"I'm going to live alone, away from people. And since I won't have any relationship with anyone, the passion will also cease."

He left indeed, and dwelt in a cave alone.

One day, he filled his pitcher with water and suddenly it fell and spilled. He took it and refilled it and again it spilled. Then, for the third time, he filled it and again it fell and was empty. Then the monk got angry, grabbed the pitcher and broke it.

When he came to, he recognized that he had been played by the demon and said:
"Here, then, I came to live alone, but again I was overcome by the passion of rage... Therefore, I will return to the Community and continue my struggle with my brothers, humbly and with the help of God"!
