Holy Icon of Panagia Faneromeni

The Holy Icon of Panagia Faneromeni of Michaniotissa, was moved by pious Michaniot refugees from Kyzikos, Asia Minor, to Nea Michaniona-Thessaloniki, in the year 1922!!
Every year, on the 23rd of August, there is a brilliant celebration and Litany of the Miraculous Holy Icon! And this year, thousands of pilgrims, not only from Greece but also from abroad, flocked to Nea Michaniona, to commemorate the great feast of the Dormition of the Virgin and indeed, on the day of Her presentation, that is, on the ninth day, from of August 15!!
