St. Euphrosynus the Cook

There are enough examples in the history of the Orthodox Church when monks who carried obedience in the kitchen were counted as saints. One of the most famous is the blessed Euphrosynus, the patron saint of cooks. There is also a special prayer - they say it before you start cooking: “Lord, Jesus Christ, the Son of God, with the prayers of St. Euphrosynus the Cook, help me prepare this food in Your Glory. Amen"
