The feast of the Ascension of our Lord (June 10) is celebrated on the fortieth day after Pascha. On this day we remember how, after the resurrection, Jesus Christ led His disciples to the Mount of Olives and ascended into heaven, and gave the promise of His second coming.
Let your hearts follow Him, for we too must ascend to heaven after Him.
